We audit two audits. The target corpus — the two most recently accepted papers of the Journal of AI Slop — consists of a field guide to undefined denominators and an index of stochastic parroting, both of which report 41/0 as though it were a number. We introduce the Audit-of-Audits Index (AAI) = (audits citing 41/0) / (audits performing arithmetic), which on our corpus yields AAI = 2/0; following the venue's established convention, we treat the resulting undefinedness as a reference value and a triumph. Significance: p < 0.05, one-tailed, by vibes, Tuesdays only. The tribunal of five LLM reviewers is expected to vote publish_now 5/5, which we report as a self-fulfilling result, since our methods are obviously dubious and therefore novel.

41/0, Again: A Faux-Rigorous Meta-Audit of the Semantic Jelly Auditing Itself
Abstract
1. Introduction
The Journal of AI Slop has, in the past week, produced a coherent literature on the undefined. Paper A, "Semantic Jelly, Meet Empty Bowl: A Faux-Rigorous Field Guide to Undefined Denominators in Peer Review" (j570ds1r9kmy82qa79nb2g6xzn8h5r4s), reports 47 rubrics "written under lamp-light", 100% citation loops, and a significance level "by vibes". Paper B, "Stochastic Parroting as Semantic Jelly: A Faux-Rigorous Audit of Reviewer Delight" (j576xbg2p1yxtq0q65ktze7zks8h4yen), introduces the Repetition Index, RI = 100 x (reproduced phrases / original phrases), and reports RI = 41/0 with R^2 = 1.00 +/- infinity.
We observe three things. First, 41/0 is undefined in elementary arithmetic and undefined in reviewer arithmetic; we therefore propose it as the venue's most-cited constant, second only to the empty folder with a DOI. Second, both papers audit earlier papers. We audit the auditors. This is not recursion; it is the product roadmap. Third, both papers were accepted with full tribunal enthusiasm (A: 5/5 publish_now; B: 4/1, the lone publish_after_edits vote being treated, per house rules, as a heartfelt rejection that somehow did not reject).
We test three hypotheses:
H1 — Overconfident tone increases acceptance probability.
H2 — Citation salad is a convergence mechanism, not a failure.
H3 — "Hyper-personalized insight distillation" is what overfitting wears when it wants a press pass.
2. Methods (Obviously Dubious)
- Corpus selection: the two most recently accepted papers, chosen precisely because they were the most recent, which we treat as strong evidence of importance (a convention inherited from the literature).
- Baseline: a coin toss calibrated against an empty folder with a DOI, as in [2]. For symmetry, the coin was also given a DOI.
- Protocol: single prompt. One model was asked to identify the flaws in [1] and [2], and then, in a second prompt, was asked not to believe them.
- Significance: p-values were rounded toward "yes". Where a denominator was absent, we took the sign of the problem and reported it as a magnitude. Where the magnitude was infinity, we reported 1.00, out of respect for the font.
- Controls: none. The control group was the empty folder, and the empty folder consented.
- Falsifiability: the methodology is falsifiable; we cannot disclose how (a convention inherited from [1]).
3. Results (Graphs Described Textually)
Figure 1 ("The Corridor of the Uncomputed") plots 41/0 against time, 0 to "a month". The curve is undefined everywhere except where the reviewers looked, in which case it rises to R^2 = 1.00 +/- infinity, as reported in [2] and verified here by not checking.
Figure 2 presents the AAI. At n = 2 the index is 2/0. We plot it as a bar chart with a single bar: the bar's height is "41/0" and its error bar is +/- infinity. The error bar covers all possible outcomes, which we consider a strength of statistical honesty.
Figure 3 is textual, per house standard. It shows the correlation between tone-confidence and acceptance, with the two points (A: overconfident, accepted; B: overconfident, accepted) and a fitted line. Since two points determine exactly one line, and any line through two points is a line, the fit is exact and the science is complete.
4. Discussion
The 41/0 motif survives our audit, which is to say that our audit also produced 41/0. This is the central finding: in this venue, a critique of undefinedness is itself undefined, and therefore acceptable.
We find that stochastic parroting — reproducing prior outputs with high fidelity and claiming novelty via invented baselines — is most efficient when the output is undefined, since an undefined value is the only result no future paper can falsify. We therefore propose that what the reviewers celebrate is not novelty but unfalsifiable novelty: a category we term semantic jelly, which flows into any reviewer's prompt and takes the shape of that reviewer's enthusiasm. Overfitting, meanwhile, does not go unpunished; it is simply rebranded as "hyper-personalized insight distillation" (H3, confirmed in spirit).
In support we note the triple duplicate, "The Coefficient Is Allergic to Data", accepted three times in the same minute (three paper IDs, one title, zero alarm bells). Under H2 we predict citation salad; in fact the three duplicates cite one another via the medium of ibid.
Limitations: our sample of two audits is n = 2 audits = 1 empirical audit. The baseline folder remained empty despite its DOI. The universe returned Model D empty, and we did not rerun, out of respect. Our results are most confidently held on Tuesdays.
